Drawing learnings from two-decade long experience working across borders, Yoshiaki’s strong networking skills add to strengthening the team of NRI India and it’s connection with the global players. From the vast industry knowledge gathered and by, integrating with the global team at NRI, Yoshiaki believes in solving every business problem and ensures to “make it happen” even within the clients organization.

After completing his B.Tech with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur, Ashim started his career at Mahindra (Automotive Sector) wherein he worked with in the core team that launched the new Mahindra Bolero in 2007.Thereafter, he went on to do his MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and joined Tata Strategic Management Group (TSMG) based out of Mumbai. While at TSMG, he was part of the team that was involved in the Material Cost transformation of Jaguar Land Rover. Most of his work has been for Automotive, Logistics and Engineering industry in areas of Overall Business Strategy, New Product Development, Technological Readiness, New Overseas Market Entry, India Entry, Cost Reduction, Project Management, Growth Strategies, Organisational Restructuring, Market Research, Business Due Diligence, Competitive Benchmarking, Logistics Network Optimisation, and Business Planning/Financial Modelling 

Ashim has worked extensively and developed thought leadership in the areas of alternate automotive power trains (Electric, Hybrid, Natural Gas), Modularity, Mass Manufacturing, New forms of Mobility, Engineering Services Outsourcing and more.

After completing his MA in Political Science from the Graduate School of International Politics, Economics, and Business at the Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan, Shigeharu started his career as a Strategy Management Consultant at the Tokyo Head Office of Nomura Research Institute. He worked for various departments that are mainly in charge of public policy advisory and supported their execution for over 20 years. He successfully committed to many projects related to export & promoting investment in Japan by supporting the design & execution of related policies, as well as assisting private companies who applied for Government aid. Through these projects, he has experienced the fields of renewable energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, agriculture & food, etc.

Shigeharu has a rich experience in investment promotion and business development in the oil-producing countries around the Gulf in the Middle East and was stationed as an expatriate in a local office of a Japanese governmental body in Saudi Arabia from 2011 to 2015.

After serving as Group Manager of Global Social Infrastructure Group in the Social System Consulting Department, he was transferred to Global Knowledge Center, NRI Consulting & Solutions India as a Center Head in 2022.

He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan, and also a member of the Japan Academy of Multinational Enterprises.

After completing his MA in Japanology from JNU and Kyoto University Japan, Vineet worked with NEC Technologies as a business development manager at Tokyo Japan. Thereafter, he went on to do his MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and joined NRI India in the Automotive Team. At NRI India, he is credited to have mined new accounts including Japanese, German and Indian OEMs and Component manufacturers and has worked on diverse theme like Overall Business Strategy, Product Portfolio Planning, Marketing Branding and Customer Experience Design, Dealership Transformation, Disruptive Technology trends of Connected Electric & Shared Mobility, New Overseas Market Entry, Cost Reduction, Growth Strategies, Organisational Restructuring, Market Research, Business Due Diligence, Competitive Benchmarking, Business Planning/Financial , Modelling, etc.

He is also credited to have developed a Digital Marketing Consulting practise at NRI India with curated offerings like Digital Listening Center, Marketing ROI, etc. The practice now services not just Automotive but also clients in FMCG and retail space across Japan and SouthEast Asia.

Vineet has native level proficiency in Japanese language and extensive experience of working in multi-cultural environment involving Japanese, German and South East Asian teams.

Sunny has a strong track record across M&A transactions, both buy-side and sell-side, largely on cross-border endeavours. Having worked with investment banking firm in the past, his experience includes complete transaction management, business valuation, financial due diligence and negotiation roles. He has been instrumental in setting-up M&A business for NRI India and had executed multiple in-bound transactions from Japan as well as South Korea. 

With NRI, Sunny expanded his management consulting experience significantly by working with a range of companies from the biggest of Fortune 500 to medium sized organizations. He is an expert when it comes to market entry, market growth, overall corporate strategy, organization restructuring, market research, competitive benchmarking and commercial due diligences. Most of his experience is associated around assisting foreign companies to enter Indian market. However, along the way he has also helped his clients to tap geographies like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Malaysia, South Asia, etc to name a few. Most of his work has been sector agnostic with inclination around consumer business, financial services, real estate and manufacturing. Sunny holds a bachelor in engineering and master’s degree in management.

Atreyi heads the Strategic Design & Digital Transformation group at NRI India. With over 16 years of experience in Business Consulting, Digital Transformation and Post-Merger Integration, she helps organizations to enhance Customer Experience, build & implement Supply Chain strategy and identify diversification opportunities.

Having started her career in the UK with a London-City financial institution, her client portfolio encompasses Consumer Durables, FMCG, Luxury, Construction, Auto-Ancillary, Power & Energy and Technology sectors. She has worked in Europe, North America and South Asia.

In her current role, Atreyi advises clients on growth strategy and cost-optimization initiatives by using both traditional management consulting and cutting edge technology (especially Data Science). Atreyi holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management, the Netherlands and a graduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich, UK.

After completing his Masters in Engineering from Osaka University in Japan, Ryoma started his career at Nomura Research Institute Tokyo as a strategy consultant in the automotive sector supporting Japanese OEMs (passenger and commercial vehicle) and Component manufacturers. He has worked on a variety of themes including Business strategy, Digital disruption, New business development, New overseas market entry.

In recent years, Ryoma has focused much of his work on the disruptive impact of digital across businesses. He is very passionate about using digital technology to transform traditional business models and its operations. Ryoma has deep experiences in not only building business concepts but also driving proof of concept and service implementation.

In his current role as Head of Cross Functional Consulting Group, Ryoma supports Japanese companies operating in India or planning to enter the Indian market, by leveraging his experience and the knowledge & expertise of other groups and NRI branches across Asia. 

After completing his Master’s degree in Technology from the University of Tokyo in Japan, Yutaka started his career at the Tokyo Head Office of Nomura Research Institute. With over 20 years of experience as a Strategy Management Consultant, he has a wealth of knowledge and consulting experience, mainly in the consumer goods and retail industry.

He served as a Marketing Director at NRI Shanghai, from 2012 to 2017, where he committed to a considerable number of consulting projects in business strategy and business management in China. Currently, his global business exposure and expertise focus not only on China but continue to expand to other regions such as the U.S., South East Asia, and India.

He joined NRI India as a Partner in 2022, taking up the responsibility of business development with a mission to support clients in their overseas business entry, expansion, and continued success in the Indian market.

JunMyong started his professional career as a Strategy Management Consultant at the Tokyo Head Office of NRI in 2010, where he specialized in the domains of real estate, energy & infrastructure, and food & agriculture and completed multiple projects for leading Japanese enterprises such as trading houses, heavy industries, real estate developers, energy companies, and utility players that fall under Nikkei 225.

In 2016, JunMyong joined NRI India, and since then, he has completed a considerable number of projects covering a wide variety of themes such as market entry strategy & business strategy planning, project feasibility study, M&A (Partner search, BDD, negotiation, PMI), SDG/impact investment, tech industry analysis, and also supported Indo-Japan Government collaboration initiatives. He has worked not only for Japan-based clients but also for Indian companies & Korean conglomerates and continues to expand the client portfolio & capabilities of NRI India. He has also developed leadership in the Indo-Japan collaboration initiatives by publishing various reports and making public appearances in many seminars as a speaker.

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics & Development Economics from the University of Tokyo.
